Skin Irritation

Skin Irritation

Some people who are sensitive to plasters or adhesives may experience a skin reaction when using Zeus. This can include redness, irritation, or in rare cases blistering. Mild skin reactions can also occur as a known side effect of TENS stimulation, as recognised by the NHS.

If you experience skin irritation

  1. Stop using Zeus immediately.

  2. Allow the skin to fully recover before using the device again.

  3. Continue with your usual skin care routine.

In most cases, redness or irritation settles within 24 hours once use is discontinued.

About Hydrogel Pads

At present, we do not offer a hypoallergenic version of the Hydrogel Pads. However, all materials used in Zeus and the Hydrogel Pads have been tested for skin biocompatibility to recognised medical standards.

Returning to use

Once the skin is fully healed, you may wish to:

  • Try using Zeus again at a lower stimulation level, if this still effectively reduces your snoring.

  • Use Zeus on alternate nights to give your skin time to rest between uses. While not ideal, this can help reduce irritation for some users.

Additional support

Your GP or pharmacist may be able to advise on ways to reduce the risk of skin irritation or recommend suitable skin protection options.

If irritation persists or worsens, we recommend discontinuing use and seeking medical advice.
